We had a fun day. We started with an all school introduction in the auditorium. I first started in an art class where we went from table to table, trying all sorts of food. They offered eveything from tofu to vegetables that I have never heard of. In the next class, some of the students made me a sign that said welcome with my Chinese name. The Taiwanese students are the friendliest people in the world; they are contantly asking for selfies and hugs. After class we went to the shopping centers like Yawley Way. The streets are lined with food trucks and street vendors. These trucks had the strangest food from pig snout to animal blood. I couldnt get myself to try anything. We spent a couple hours walking the market streets in the very humid sun. Then we came back to school for a Welcome Dinner provided by the President of the PTA that included all the host families. It was a great day!
